Recent custom soaps

Been a while since I made a custom order, this was a barter with a friend for something she sewed for me. Black and tan beer soap scented with lime, bay laurel, and clove EO's; and colloidal oatmeal scented with peppermint and orange EO's. Color for black was activated charcoal, and the oatmeal has French red clay and a dash of paprika.

Very nice! I have never smelled clove eo but I bet it smells so good. I'm going to have look for clove eo my next shopping trip.

just have to be careful with the clove. too much can be very irritating to skin

Yes be careful with clove. I used only a few drops, it compliments the bay laurel.

Thanks for this tip. I just bought some (and rosemary EO) because it smelled so good. How much should I put in a batch with one pound of oils? I usually throw 1/2 oz EO per pound of oils when I use them.

The IFRA for clove is 0.5%. I typically work in grams, and that would be 5g of EO for 1kg of oil. For a lb of oil, that would be 0.08oz of EO. A teeeeny amount.
