Hi everyone, I need help on how to make a good batch of soap from the loads of soap shavings I have gathered from all my numerous batches.
I tried to get a little good batch from it sometime last week by adding water and heating it up so i can pour it to a mould again ..but it never came out right. It all turned to liquid soap and stayed liquid for days and got a little thicken but not hard enough to make bars and that's not what I want. ... what did I do wrong?? or didnt right ?? I NEED HELP asap.. thank you.

If some of those shavings are older than others, they may never go into a bar shape and stay there. I have trouble with anything over about 3 months old.

Sounds like you used way too much water. Rebatch shouldn't be pour-able, it should be like mashed potatoes. I generally use 1/4 - 1/2 cup water for every pound of scraps.
