I want to make lotion with some of my goat milk, but as I look as recipes and such I see that they all seem to call for pasteurized milk. The issue is that I don't pasteurize my milk since 1) I prefer to drink raw milk and 2) stove-top pasteurizing is a total pain. Right now I don't have any milk that wasn't frozen raw, so pasteurizing at this point would be useless. Has anyone made lotion with unpasteurized milk? If so, were the preservatives not enough to keep it from going bad? If I need to wait until May when I'll have two does to milk, it's not a problem, but I'm itching to try some before then if it's not going to be a disaster.

Wouldn't making lotion (heat and hold) be pasturizing the milk? Assuming you do heat and hold your ingredients to make lotion. I've not used milk in lotion. I have read recipes and it sounds like preserving can be tricky.
