Hi guys hope you are having a happy soaping day quick question. Is it possible to make a CP soap with a fragrance that have alcohol in it or is this more possible with a melt and pour method?

I haven't used alcohol based fragrances, but know from experience that alcohol based colorants work well with MP and HP. The problem with fragrances that aren't designated for use in soap is that you don't know if the fragrance is skin safe and what usage rate would be safe in soap.. so I probably still wouldn't go for it.

I’ve read that alcohol can cause the soap to seize, which is why people usually boil off the alcohol from any beer or wine that they use for lye liquid. I’ve never tried that myself, so I’ll let others with more robust chemistry backgrounds weigh in.
