Hi all,

While looking up mica, I came across this article. I wondered if anyone else had seen it and what the alternatives to mica might be? I remember in a fairly recent thread, Scotsman mentioned lab-created mica but I haven't yet found a source that labels for 'natural' or synthetic.

There are oxides and ultramarines. Unfortunately, there is probably little proof if our micas that we purchase have any certification as to how they are processed etc.

I looked into this back in January. Unfortunately I can't replicate the research trail, but I learned that all cosmetic mica sold in the U.S. is required by the FDA to be synthetic.
