I have some soap that I want to cut up and use as embeds (?) in a new loaf. How would you determine how much big your soap batch has to be so that it doesn't overflow?

One thing I have noticed, when weighing my loaf after removing from the mold, it almost equals the weight of my oils, water, lye, and EO. So I'm thinking taking what my normal loaf would weigh, subtracting the weight of the embeds, then work with soapcalc till it works out that oils, water, lye and EO equal that number. Does that make sense????

that is what i would do.
also since you already have a recipe, if you want to got to thesage.net and enter your oils the way they would be with out the embeds, the after you have calculated, there is a resize button on the bottom. if you tell it to resize to the new amount, it will calculate everything for you again. lol, i hate doing math!
