I just got in the most wonderful smelling Orange chocolate truffle scent to make a lip balm with.

I have the lip balm base. What else should I add besides the scent to make it better? I get all these creamy lip balms and they are awesome. Mine don't quite come out that way.

Any ideas for a newbie?

What is in the base? Check where you purchased it from to see what the recs are for additives. I have seen some that are wonderful as it.

I think it would also depend on how hard it is and how you plan to package it (pot or tube). For pots, maybe some shea oil. for tubes perhaps a nice butter.

Are they presweetened?

If they are, you are fine. perhaps some oil base coloring to give it a nice color, since you already have a base.

Make sure you have the necessary equipment along with gloves. I know MMS have good equipment for lip balm making. Making it a more faster process.

Good Luck :)
