I love Pumpkin Seed oil in leave on products, and have used it in soap. I like the way it absorbs into the skin when used in lotions or balms, but at the cost I just do not use it in soap.

I have used it in soap and it just wasn't worth the cost. It didn't add anything special at all to the bar.

It was a bit more expensive than the other oils,but was cheaper than I’ve seen it online,it was one of the specials ,when it’s gone it’s gone deals,

For that price, I would get it too. I payed around £18.00 for 500 ml.

I wouldn’t pay that much,everything seems to be more expensive in the US,which is really surprising,everything is usually more over here

You can add pumpkin purée to a soap and it makes a surprisingly nice hard bar that works well. I know it’s not the oil from the seed but still.
I usually simmer my purées until they are quite dry then use the split method.

I used some in lip balm and liked it. Mine was a very dark color, so I only used I think 5% or 10%.
Mine was from Soaper's Choice several years ago so I do not know what I paid, but it is now approx $43.00 per gallon plus shipping. It is really lovely in lotions and balms
The price difference between countries is interesting - might start a thread on that!

Use half water plus half purée for total liquid needed in your recipe. I believe that is what they are talking about. Correct me if am wrong please

Yes. Your NaOH can be dissolved in its weight of water. So if you need 100g NaOH in your recipe dissolve it in 100g water. The rest of the water in the recipe can be made up of milk or puree which you add to the oils.
If you want to use the equivalent of 100% milk dissolve powdered milk in the milk to make it up to the equivalent of 100% of the recipe water. So say total recipe water is 200g. Use 100g to dissolve the NaOH. Say the powdered milk says add 2 Tbsp powder to 100g water. Then add 2 Tblspoons of powder to your milk. When the soap is all mixed in the water will all be the equivalent of milk.
