All,
I am thinking of introducing a pre-shave soap bar to my line of products. Pre-shave bars can be used to clean the face before shaving(duh!!) or sometimes even as a gentle face wash. A good pre-shave bar needs to produce an extremely slick lather to help with razor glide, needs to be gentle and does not necessarily need to have an extremely high score for "cleansing". If it can help with boosting shaving soap lather, that would be considered a huge plus. With these properties in mind, I would love to get some feedback on the below recipe.
20% Tallow
20% Coconut Oil
30% Castor Oil
30% Sweet Almond Oil
Glycerin 15%
Super Fat - 3-5%
Colloidal Oatmeal - 1tsp ppo
Is this a good starting point?
