Hi,
I've been making CP soap for almost a year now and I finally feel confident enough to try using milks in my recipe, however, I am using powdered/dry milks such as goat, buttermilk and coconut. My recipe makes approx 2.25lbs of soap, what ratio of powdered milk should I use per pound? Also is dry milk powder as prone to scorching and burning as fresh milk? Thanks in advance for the assistance. :) For the sake of clarity, let me also say that my recipe breaks down like this: 36oz oz of oils, 38% water and lye concentration of 28% Water to lye 2.55:1 if that helps. This is per Soapcalc.net

I use powdered milk in conjunction with canned milk. If not using canned milk I mix my lye with an equal amount of water then mix my powdered milk in the remainder of the water. I mix enough powdered milk by instructions to make my batch full milk. I mix the milk into my oils before adding my lye
