Just something I thought of the other day. Phthalates are used as plasticizers and conditioners in plastic. These are the ones people say are "bad".

We know that alot of fragrances can start to dimple the plastic bottles. This means that some part of the bottle is degrading. If phthalate are present and free (not bound into the polymer structure) then won't we be leaching them into our FO?

Just some food for thought. I'm going to transfer all of my FOs to glass just in case.

I asked a phd chemist at my job and he said only the free pthalate would leach. But he recommended using glass.
