I have found alot of sodium hydroxide but i dont even know were to start looking for p. hydroxide so that i can start making liquid castile soap. What would it be marked as? and what are some common brands? I dont like to order things online.

I doubt very much that you'll be able to find it anywhere except online. At least that has been my experience.

I asked at the local Ace Hardware and they can order a bag for me. It is used as a fertilizer. She looked it up and it is 100% potash. I haven't ordered it yet, though. I wanted to have success with bar soap before spending more $.

Look up any of your local science/lab supply stores as well. They may charge more, but most often you can get small amounts (not 50 lb. bags) and higher purity. Most of us use NaOH that are 99+ % pure, and I would expect you want the same or at least 98+ % pure POH.
