It’s been a pretty heavy and depressing week. The day turned to night by smoke, unhealthy air quality for days, friends being evacuated and some losing their homes, and beloved wilderness burning. I didn’t feel much like making anything for a bit.
Then once I finally started I just kept going! Two batches of soap that I really love! Almost opposite color schemes!
One is colored with purple, red and gold clay, indigo, and activated charcoal. Scented w EOs of orange, peppermint, cedar.
The other is some of my favorite super bold colors from NS, they make my eyes happy! And they have fun names like Eye of the Tiger! Scented w EOs of litsea, tangerine, lemon, peppermint, and a pinch of patchouli to anchor it all through the cure.
The odds and ends turned out as good as the column!
And in the containers are my first attempt at soap dough. I’m pretty excited about the prospects!!!

Ooooooo! So pretty and everything is so even and clear! So nice! I attempted my first kinda-pull-through tonight, I tried to force gel but don't know if it worked, will check tomorrow and post this weekend if it is anything worth seeing. It certainly will not beat yours though!

Yes, definitely Queen of the Pull-through. Soaping has always been coping for me -- even before 2020. It's good to counter chaos and confusion with creative and scientific projects. Plus, it encourages hand-washing! Except I wouldn't want to use yours, they are so pretty.

Using them makes me smile a little. It’s especially good during these trying times. WE DESERVE PRETTY THINGS!
