Remember the Carrot Cake soap?? Well it smells (and works) GREAT... but I had a partial-gel and it is fugly now. (cry) I hate looking at it so I think I'm going to try my first rebatch LOL

So walk me through it.

Grate it up, add xxx liquid, crock pot.. ??? whip it or no? ack! This is all so new to me!

Hi L.O. - Lindy has just posted a whipped rebatch in the tutorials section. I have made a whipped rebatch like hers and they are fantastic! Having said that if you just want to do a regular rebatch for your first time I have a link to several different methods you can try:-

Scroll to the bottom of the 'Soap Making Tips & Techniques' section and there are 4 methods there.

Also I found these sites very helpful:-

HTH!

Thanks so much!

I've decided to split my rebatch into two - so I'll do one half "regular" and one half whipped.

Regular version using these instructions (looked like any idiot could handle this one.. and I consider myself to be "any idiot")

Started the regular one tonight - took 6 bars (about 1.5lb) of the ugly soap..

(this was the carrot cake one with the AWESOME swirl in the mold)

and when I grated it, check out what I found.. (perplexing, if nothing else) - it looks like a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup!!

It's in the pot boiling now - will be back with more pics hehehehe
