OG stick blender

Pulled this out of the dishwasher today and it hit me that its the original stick blender.
It was grammas and I love the thing.

I have one of those, too! As with Artemis, I also find mine to come in handy every now and again, depending on what I'm trying to accomplish at the time.

Seeing these just sends me back.

To a long, long time ago.

When I could still walk under the table that I still own. It was the kitchen table but has been repurposed. Something about the coats of paint under what you can see. yes, we used to use lead paint back in the day....
It will never come into contact with food again.
 
Here's ours. It belonged to John's grandmother; his mother was born in 1912 and it was her mother's. This one is well over 100 years old now and we use it regularly. It beats whipping cream faster than my hand mixer does. It isn't the most ergonomic but it still works amazingly well.
