Newbie Question: How do you calculate the size of the batch

If I wanted to make a 5 lb batch of soap, how do I figure out how much oils and lye solution to use? I'm confused and haven't made my first batch yet but want to try it this afternoon. Thank you for your help.

If you input your oils into Summer Bee Meadow Lye calculator, you can then recalculate the recipe to fit into your mold via their resizer feature. I would start smaller, like a 1 lb. batch.
