Hi all from Athens Tn.
Just getting into the soap interesting and more to it than I expected.
I've made 3 batches 2 are waiting to cure and 1 was a flop.

Hi, Lee. Welcome to the forum. We're neighbors! I'm in Chattanooga. Just to let you know, there is a local soap making supplier in Cleveland: Dianna's Sugar Plum Sundries. Since the State thinks we're all meth makers and none of the stores stock lye or drano anymore, Diane has lye for soapers, and other stuff, too. Then again, maybe the stores in your area think you're all trustworthy.

(Welcome! What happened with your flopped soap?)
Not sure it came out like old glue. I put some water on it left it for a day and still looked like old glue. So I thought I would stir it and it all stuck to my spoon. Then I put the bowl I had it in and a bigger pot with water in it(like a double boiler) and cooked it for a half Hr. still stuck to the spoon and not melting.
Oh well my wife got a good laugh out of it and I got a chuckle out of it too.
