My hubby made me some new larger soap moulds for my CP soap and I'm so excited! The two moulds make 3200g (oil weight) which is the perfect size for my mixing bucket.

I love being able to make twice as much soap, with the same amount of effort.

Does anyone have any lessons learned or tips I should keep in mind for moving up to a larger mold and batch size? I've done two simple batches of really familiar soaps so far - but ready to move to some more challenging ones.

In action - Lavender Honey soap, and preparing for Ginger Beer soap.

Also, any advice on lining these larger moulds? Don't laugh at the bottom picture, that was my experimental lining attempt. ☺

Very nice looking molds. I hope you get years of enjoyment out of them.

As far as lining the molds, I use the method shown in this youtube video. After awhile it becomes like second nature.

Thank you! That is how I've done my smaller moulds, for some reason I had it in my head that I had to use two sheets of paper to minimize waste. Using the sheet the long way is making lots of sense!
