New Baby Peacock Gecko

I just rescued this baby from dad chasing it and mom was eyeballing it. I think it was going to become dinner. I did not even see her carrying eggs so this was a complete surprise. I am going to watch closely for a clutch mate tonight. Sorry, the pic is so bad but I only have my cell phone. This is a Peacock Day Gecko Baby

So this is from the wild, or pets you already had? (I know nothing about gecko!). Naughty parents who want to eat the little sweetie! I take it they can survive without parents feeding them? (yes, I know how stupid that question sounded)
