New and Need Help

Hi ..I'm new to the soaping.. I believe that my last batch may have had some unconverted lye. I just used the bar and it had some hard (rough) pics in the middle. Im using hp and was wondering if this is possible? I mix with water and then pour into my crockpot with the hot oil. will it eventually die oUT if I let it sit out longer before use?

Hello and welcome to the forum. Have you zap tested your soap? If it doesn't zap then it's not lye. If you post your recipe and process we will try to help you trouble shoot.

How long did you cook your soap for?

Sometimes when I hot process and don't use enough water, I get lumps of dried soap chunks within my soap.

Can you post pictures, your recipe, and your process in detail?

As girlishcharm said, hp can get hard bits going on in there, especially if it isn't cured yet which will mean a lot of the soap is still far too soft, that would highlight the harder bits even more.
