    Beyond being able to create an account and save please start listing every single thing that is;
    1. Hard to use
    2. Wrong / Error
    3. Things that are missing
Please be very detailed and also feel free to critize the smallest thing. We want to get this perfect, we want this to be the best soap making calculator out there.

Tried it out. I don't see a place to create or save an account. I put in a simple recipe - 3 oils - and when I try to print it it is 4 pages long.

"% Water as a percent of oils - recommended "

No, it is NOT recommended to use % of oils as a default..

Get accurate default values for the other choices.

In "Select Oils" the mouseover provides details about each oil, but there is no list of cumulative values as SoapCalc provides. This is important when building a recipe.

Never mind, I had to scroll down to see it. It should be along side.

Personally, I hate programs that require that I go from page to page to enter like this. I know that some other lye calculators do this. Those are the ones I don't use. I like to enter all of my data on one page like SoapCalc.

Is something supposed to happen when I click on "Finish"?

I chose "Ounces" for "Recipe Units", but the "Recipe Totals" are displayed in grams.

In the "Type of Lye ... Oils" strip, aside from the oils, there's plenty of room to display the chosen values underneath.

It calls itself a "Lye Calculator".

There needs to be a "Print" button with a formatted output with check boxes and such.

Oh, good! I'll hold off on my formatting comments. Don't worry about making it pretty until it has all of the functionality that you want.

Just from a first go through, is there a way to print the recipe?

I tried it from my smartphone. It was easy to use. I selected ounces but it keeps showing me grams. I don't see where I can select how much oil I want to use (18 ounce oils, etc.) or how much oil is being used in my recipe. I'm also confused as to why it's showing me the SAP value and qualities of just shea butter. I'm trying but this thread won't let me post my screenshots. Instead it's pulling up my old photos from the forum.

I like being able to see how bubbly the product would be. Also, seems pretty straightforward to me.

Fairly easy to use, a few comments on accessibility - I would find it easier to understand with more straightforward labeling across the top. For example - "Lye", "Units", "Water", "Superfat", "Fragrance", and "Oils".

I agree with OldHippie, that it is preferable to have it all on one page.

    Spelling errors:
    - on Superfat tab
    - "The recipe will be calculated with 0% superfat but will show the Frgrance Oil Weight..." should read Fragrance
    - in the oils selector
    - Apricot Kernal should read Kernel
    - Black Current should read Currant

I find the bar on the right hand side with the single oil qualities very difficult to read. There's a lot of information listed in one place and there's no separation. Additionally, at the very top we have "Sap KOH" but just NaOH instead of "Sap NaOH". I also don't see Myristic fatty acid anywhere, either on the sidebar or in the total down at the bottom.

The finish button does nothing. I like reviewing the values of the recipe. OZ converted to grams in recipe totals. No option to print or modify recipe by weight or percentages? Easy to follow along. Soap calc took a minute to figure out and I don’t like their page set up. The setup for this is super easy to follow.

At first, I missed the user icon. Once I found it, I nothing happened when I clicked on it. So I wasn't able to create an account or log in. Other comments - I agree that % lye concentration should be the default. Is there a way to show the change in the % water as a percent of oils, water to lye ratio and water discount when the lye concentration is set to something other than the default? I set the calculator to ounces, and it showed me only grams. I create my recipe in ounces and weigh everything in grams, so it would be useful to me to have both shown. Showing the percent of oils in the total change with each addition would be helpful. This is one thing that Soapee does much better than Soapcalc. My main issue with soapcalc is that the total percent of oils isn't shown until I calculate, and then I have to go back and adjust if I am off. Which is frequent - math skills aren't my strong suit.

I do wish everything was all on one page. That's what I don't like about Brambleberry's calculator. Not a fan of looking though pages to get to what I want.

Another thing that would make it better for me would be the ability to double click on an oil to quickly put it on my list. The way it is now I have to keep switching between my mouse and keyboard. After I have everything on my list, then I could type each value and TAB down the list quickly.

Also noticed the properties values are listed in percentages. New soapers will be confused by this.

That's my four cents. Will continue testing now.

Used it with my iPad and a basic recipe. Fairly easy to use. Some spelling errors as noted by steffamarie.
I too asked for the totals in pounds and ounces and got grams at the end. The Finish button might be confusing as it generates the recipe below instead of in another page. Will there be a print option once we are able to create accounts and log in?
    Thank you!
    Lou
