I say that literally- it has irritated my throat, my grandma's throat and even my sister's throat. At first, I thought it was the KOH lye fumes but that normally dissipates and has never irritated me on this level before. But once I bought the finished soap paste out and tested its zappiness (not zappy) it irritated our throats again.
The paste is in a covered container. I diluted 115g of it and noticed it was less irritating when diluted. I also took liberties with this batch that I have never done before. Please tell me if I missed something or dodged the bullet.
Additionally- I used 71g of KOH in an attempt to compensate for the 6g citric acid that was used. I used 9g sodium lactate and 10g glycerin. The avocado oil was actually nixed and I upped the pomace and the rice bran oils to 90g each. Those were the only things I've done differently to how I normally made citric acid.
