Soo... I got new molds today! Both for a whopping price of $30... I can’t believe it!

I got lost trying to find a local market today ( I got a day off after a very looong project so thought I would spend the day shopping for local delicacies) and while going round in circles I saw a guy’s wood workshop and I just thought I should stop, ask him if he could make me a mold and he said yes. I asked him how long he would take and he said 2 hours. So I went online got dimensions for 2 of B.B molds I can buy silicone liners for and in 2 hours and $30(N10,000) lighter I have these beauties!

I have been using a generic mold, the one from China with purple/pink silicone liner and it has been faithful but just couldn’t find the time to go look for someone to help me make bigger molds! Totally suck at DIYs

That's so great!! I had a friend make a wooden support for a silicone mold I got from Brambleberry and it's been great. Knowing someone with a bit of woodworking knowledge is awesome for us soapers! ;)

Thank you all so much. It makes me really happy that I can share my excitement here. Hubby couldn’t understand why am going on about ‘an incomplete box’..... what does he know??? I am so happy I have not been able to stop checking them out! :D:p

Tell him how much money you saved by buying these. That might make him happy.

Very nice! My husband built the majority of my 14 molds more than half of which he built for silicone liners I could purchase. Saved me a ton of money.[/QUOTE

Isn’t he a dear? He built you molds? Definitely a keeper. ;) Mine didn’t understand my fascination with mine.

@CaraBou: Yes it is and he’s got fantastic customer service because he called me yesterday to find out if I liked my molds and if they worked for what I wanted them for. Isn’t that nice?

@cmzaha Thank you. He was so appreciative of my business. I was told it could have been cheaper if I had bargained but the price seemed fair so I didn’t see any reason to bargain. I definitely will use him for my cutter.

@SunRiseArts Thank you. They are sturdy. How have you been?
