Hey all,
SOOOO I really wanted to try the CP soap making but having a 9 month old.. that walks! things are getting difficult to get done!
I saw the newsletter for the local shop here and they had this new M&P..

What exactly is involved? Do you just heat and mold? Can you use the 2lb wood mold? Do FO do good in M&P?
What about quality?

thanks!!
Candice

M&p would be perfect for you. With m&p if something comes up with the baby and you're in the middle of making a batch, you can drop everything and come back to it. Just re-heat it and you're back on track.

Fragrance oils typically do not affect m&p in a negative manner the way it can with cp soap. The only thing you'll potentially have to deal with is discoloration of your soap (which can also happen with cp). Some fragrances can darken or yellow the appearance of your soap over time, but that does not affect anything other than the appearance.

The only other concern is adding too much fragrance, which can make your bar soft.

Yes, you can use a wooden mold for your soap. Just be sure to line it with freezer paper--shiny side up so that it is the side that touches your soap.

Quality is totally dependent upon the brand you choose. It looks as though the soap you are buying is the same as SFIC, which is a favorite among many m&p'ers.
