I cut and beveled this soap today and it developed the weirdest rings around the moon. Gave it a really spooky look I hadn't intended!

I read that entire thread trying to figure out how those halos happened. Still don't entirely understand it. I'm assuming it was about the embed being more dry than the fresh soap? The embed was about a month old. I had it wrapped in plastic since I unmolded it.
Soaping is often full of mysteries!

Love your moons! Can I ask how you made the white and gray?
So. Done. With. Snow. We celebrated Easter with more snow.
I wish I could tell you! The moon is uncolored batter. Maybe it partially gelled in the column mold?
Not sure how the whitish speckles happened either. The blue is 3:1 Klein Blue and Celestial Silver. Between the red and yellow is a 1:1 mix of Pink Vibrance and Firefly Yellow. (all Nurture micas).
Yet another soapy mystery!
