Molds being reused

Can i reuse a mold that was used for soap originally if i clean it up for lotion bars or would this be dangerous??? I have just started to get into Cold process soap making and have only done 4 or 5 batches so far.

In doing cold process and using liquid colorants why does my blue start out pink and then slowly turn blue in the mold???

I use the sames mold for soap and lotion bars all the time - I just keep my food items separate from my soaping/B&B ones since scents can linger. If you clean them out well between uses, you should be fine!

Some colorants can morph in CP. There are CP-safe ones available from soaping suppliers (who should be able t tell you if a particular colorant will work in CP).

I agree with using molds and other utensils for both soap and B&B but keeping separate from food preparation items.
