Hi, I just need some advice from my Soapy Friends in Australia in regard to what 'ethanol' to use as a solvent in transparent soapmaking and where to get it.
Methylated Spirits (95% ethanol) is readily and cheaply available at Bunnings. Is this OK or will the denaturing agents wreak havoc with my soap? I believe I can get pure Ethanol from a Solvents Supply Company, but I would rather use this readily available, cheap product if it is suitable.
Also, does anyone know where to get Plant Based Propylene Glycol In Australia? I would love to be able to make my own natural melt and pour with a plant based rather than petroleum based product.
Thanks
