Melt and pour

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me.
I'm new to soap making and use melt and pour however I am not getting any lather from it.
I made it with my friend at her house a few weeks ago the exact same way and her had lather.
Any advice would be appreciated.

It may also have something to do with your water if you used the same base as your friend. Hard water doesn't lather well.
For example, at home I use tonnes of shampoo but if I'm visiting somewhere with soft water I find I end up with so much lather it takes me ages to rinse it all out...

I was going to say the same as Babyshoes- the hardness of water makes a difference in lather. I have not had any troubles with these melt and pour bases Melt and Pour Soap & Soap Fragrance Oils | Bulk Apothecary. I have used the foaming bath soap, suspending stephenson, and oatmeal and shea so far. Maybe you just got a lesser foaming base? Either way, try it with different waters.
