I used a Shea butter melt and pour base by Our Earths Secret from Amazon and my only issue in using it is that it left a white greasy film on my hair. It had great lather and my hair felt clean but when I looked on the mirror, towards my scalp had film on it. I should disclose that I added thing to the melt and pour such as Ayurvedic powders and African black soap. Was it something I did that caused the white film or is the soap base just faulty?

If you search the forum for hair soap or soap for hair etc you will find so many posts about this. The bottom line is that many people find soap to just not work for hair.

Also, you can't add much to melt and pour. There's also a lot on info about that if you search.

This Soap can ruin your hair. I know first hand. Some can get away with it but many can't. Lye based soap has too high of a PH. And adding anything much to MP is useless.
