Making Wooden Mould - Size?

Hi! I was going to make my own wooden loaf moulds, but I was curious if there is a "standard" size? 2.5 x 3 finished bar or is it totally a personal choice?

I think one of the great things about building your own is, it can be whatever you want it to be. If you want to stay within the confines of what the standard bars are, then a lot of the pre made molds are 3.5 inches wide and around 2.75 to 3 inches high.

Here's a really easy layout for one that will give you a good bar size. You can also change the dimensions to make it 1 to 4 lbs.

8 LX 3.5 W X2.7 5H for 2LB
16 L X 3.5 W X2.75 H for 5 LB.
