making "soft" stain sticks

I really like my 100% coconut stain sticks but they are hard as a rock and I have to wet down my garment in order to use the sticks.
I'd like to try a mix of lye and KOH to make a softer sticks, something similar to a deodorant stick or slightly softer. Any suggestions on ratio?

Not sure if this will help but I made a shaving croap that was 80% KOH/20% NaOH. It was firm enough to roll into a log and slice into pucks but still slightly pliable.
