Making scent stick to skin

Hi all,

I'll keep this short. Is there a way to make the scent (from fragrance oil or essential oil) stick to your body after showering like the store-bought brands? The scent I added in the soap is complete gone when I wash the lather off with water.

Make using the soap the last thing you do in the shower. What I do is shampoo, then shave, then soap up, then rinse quickly. Don't linger in the rinse cycle. I've noticed it also tend to depend on the soap. Heavy scents (like patchouli) tend to stick around more than the delicate ones.
