I remember somewhere about making your own mold with some sort of compound that you can mix and pour, which makes a flexible mold. I am trying to come up with a mold for a special order, but not having any luck. So, I figured I might try my hand at making a "casting".

Anyone know what I am talking about?

There's a post here that has links to tuts, both individual cavity molds and liners for log/slab molds. I still haven't tried either one yet, but the instructions are nice and clear and there are some awesome pics.

Ack, I just checked their main page (http://www.tortugasoaps.com.au/) and it says they've had to shut the site down due to some life events, but there's still hope, it also says, "the website will likely be back up around the end of October 09".

It's just making a mold out of liquid silicone. You can look up instructions on line, the instructions need not be soap specific.
