Hi everyone!

I've been having a hard time getting the teeny little lumps out of bath whip base, both from BB and NDA. I usually add about 8 oz. to my mixing bowl and add 1-2 oz. of sweet almond oil to that and whip it up, gradually adding bentonite clay, and a couple droppers full of an oil-based extract and aloe vera gel. The end result is always gritty and frustrating!

Any ideas? Help is greatly appreciated!

The bentonite could be the problem.
You could try mixing it with a little water before adding it to the mixture...

When I go through to find the little lumps, they're actually little lumps of the whip base! I initially thought it was the bentonite, too! Does anyone else have issue with lumpy whip? How do you get them out?

I've had this issue with the bath whip too (from NDA) I'm wondering if it needs to be melted down and then whipped? I haven't tried it, but I wonder what that would do to the consistency? You could always try pushing it through a mesh strainer too, that way you'd either smooth the lumps through, or get them out.
