I have made plenty of goats milk soap and have a pretty good grasp on that, but I wanted to branch out and try lotion with goats milk. I've googled recipes but I can't find one that I like. Does anyone have a basic goats milk lotion recipe that I could try. I'd like to eventually add fragrance to it but for now just a basic recipe would be great. I'd ideally use Shea butter, and sunflower oil since that's what I have on hand for soaps. Any other newbie lotion tips are appreciated too!

If you haven't stumbled across Swiftcraftymonkey, here's a link to start your trip:

Her entire site is filled with so much information and how to formulate a recipe, how to swap things out, preservatives, oil characteristics.

That link is a basic recipe you can customize. This link is a great place to start with more basic information: http://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.com/2010/01/if-youre-new-to-lotion-making.html

Edit for this link on using goat's milk: http://swiftcraftymonkey.blogspot.com/2011/07/questions-adding-goats-milk-and-using.html

I 'll second Swiftcraftymonkey site, it can be a little overwhelming at first, but there's such excellent information there. I feel a bit like Morpheous recommending it though... take the red pill and lose a few days checking it out!
