Long distance tutor

My friend lives back home, I live 750 miles away. She wants to soap, so I have been occasionally guiding her long-distance! This weekend, we got to have a session in person. I made her do almost everything on her own and this is the soap she made! We recreated one of mine that she liked.

Wonderful. It looks like you're doing a great job teaching and she's been an attentive student. Excellent looking soap.

She's a very crafty person, and has experience in everything from cooking to glass blowing, so her brain is wired for learning this. We did have fun! If we lived closer, we would be doing this kind of stuff all the time.

I wish I had a friend like that. The one friend that expressed an interest in making soap (we did have one session together), had a stroke earlier this July (she's in her early 50's). I don't think she'll be making soap for quite a while...at least, not seriously. I really don't have anyone else to share my crafting with, unfortunately.

The downside is all the miles. We would be constantly taking classes for different things, if we lived closer to each other.
