Well folks. In the theme of 'all things tallow' I stumbled across a recipe for tallow based leather conditioner.
50% tallow
25% beeswax
25% lard.
Made some up and rubbed it into dampened leathger. It softens and nourishes superbly.
By-product is that it's.........great on my hands. Seems to sink in quickly and is better that the dandelion/shea/hard pucks that I made before.
Worth giving a try as it's very low cost.
