Lanolin oil

    Hello. I would like to know anyone here have try Lanolin Oil as one of the oil ingredients for Lye project. How many percentage to add if using this oil? By the way do anyone here have any experience using this soap and how is it? Any good reciepe to mix a batch with this oil? Thanks.

    If you have a soap recipe you like, then include lanolin oil in that recipe as 2% to 5% of the fats. Lanolin or lanolin oil are fine in soap in a small amount, but you should not use too much.

    I have used it in mechanics soap. Don't use too much, ( I use about 5%), or it will make your soap sticky.

    I use it in my shaving soap. I like it. Using it in soap is going to give that squeaky clean feeling on your skin when it’s wet. As soon as your skin dries that feeling goes away and the skin is left soft.

    I have not used it in my other soaps.
