So I've stuck my toe into the clay swimming pool and botched a batch. 
I've been hydrating the KO in a splash of room-temperature water and stirring with a small hand whisk until smooth. I add it in after the lye is poured. My first two batches went swimmingly. The third, however, I didn't pay close enough attention and didn't blend well enough. The result was teeny tiny grains of KO lumps evenly dispersed through the finished bars that are almost impossible to see but hard and sharp as all heck. Doubly sad that this batch was particularly good, except for the sand-paper effect.
Is there anything I can do to salvage them? KC grains won't magically disappear if I grate the bars and mix them into another batch, will they? (she asks with a hint of hope).
I've been finding TD a challenge too, so this is just a reminder that I need to up my blending game. Next time, I may try SB KC in batch oils, or the palette knife smoosh, or blending into my FO -- so many options! So much soap to make!
