I have successfully made two 1 lb batches of HP soap today. I wanted to find out how it was compared to CP. I have found I like both. Can anyone suggest a time when HP would be more in benefit than CP besides the saponification time? Thank you! :)

If you have a tricky FO then HP is a huge benefit because you are adding the fragrance at the end of the cook which means there is no chance of it accelerating or seizing your soap.

That's a great one. I hadn't thought of that. Thank you.

You are also supposed to be able to use less FO with HP than CP. I haven't tested this myself.

I love HP soaps! Love the process and the texture of the bars.

I bought some micas that morph in CP. When I use them after the cook in HP, they are still vibrant.
