ITP swirl question

When doing an ITP swirl, what percentage of the batter do you split out for coloring? 30%?

I depends on how many colors I am using. If I am just using one color to swirl with, I probably pour out about 1 1/2 cups to color a 2 lb batch.

I take about 25% for a one colour swirl.

I always take too much out for the colors and end up messing up the swirl. I think 30% is probably a good number to target though.
