It looks great to me! The only thing I would do different is use a 33% lye concentration and a 5% superfat, but that's just how I like things.

I agree about the 33% lye. It soaps much better for me and not as fussy. Also really like 5% super fat.

I also use 1/2 aloe and 1/2 goat milk
1Tbl Sugar and 1Tbl Salt per lb
what does going with 33% lye do or just more super fat?

It looks to me like it will be a white, silky-bubbly soap (possibly with some odour).

I personally tried sugar for somewhere around a year, but it seems to encourage DOS, so I'm going back to honey (which is where I started).

I was just thinking of sub the sugar with honey.
I render my own lard and it has very little smell.
The reason I started to make my own soap is to get away from fragrance, alergies they make me sneeze.
Thanks for the replies.

Do you really mean 1 teaspoon of sugar and salt per lb?

33% lye concentration (NOT water as % oils) means you use less water so that it traces a bit faster, goes harder a bit faster and the bars won’t warp as they cure etc.

As Penelope said, "lye concentration" has to do with how much water is contained in a batch. It has nothing to do with the superfat. In other words, you are using the same amount of lye called for in your recipe according to the superfat % you plug in, but you are adjusting the amount of water you mix with your lye in order to make the resulting solution either more or less concentrated.

Basically, there are 2 different options for calculating water for your batch on SoapCalc.....one way is via "water as % of oils" and the other is "lye concentration" (aka water as a % of the lye). SoapCalc should really get rid of their "water as % of oils" option. It leads to confusion and inconsistent batches from recipe to recipe. Using "lye concentration" is much more logical and leads to consistent batches from recipe to recipe. If you want to know more of why this is so, check out this thread, which explains the difference: http://www.soapmakingforum.com/showthread.php?t=53642
