Is it necessary to insulate cover hot process soap?

When I make CP soap, I insulate with a cover and towels when I'm done to force gel phase.

Is it necessary to insulate and cover HP once it's in the mold? Or can it just sit open?

Gel phase happens in your pot while cooking. Once in molds - no covering is necessary.

Nope you don’t need to cover it. Gel has already taken place
