I keep soap leftovers to eventually rebatch, but this time I waited too long and the scraps have staled and developed DOS. Us there a way of recycling it? What happens if I Rebatch and use the soap for laundry?

No, not really. Even in compost, it would continue to go rancid and draw undesirable organisms,

I would wrap it up in whatever you normally wrap old fish & toss it in the garbage bin.

In my early days of making soap, I tried 'cleaning' rancid oil to make soap. What I got was rancid soap. I tried salting out rancid soap. What I got was rancid smelling soap curds. It just did not produce anything I was willing to wash my hands with because the smell was so bad, let alone use in a shower!
