Infused oils for color.

Is it possible to infuse color into mineral oil for use in soap?

Will the mineral oil mess up the soap? Are there better clear oils for this?

Mineral oil doesn't saponify so I wouldn't use it for soaping. I'd pick something like a light olive oil or sunflower for infusions.

I use the yellow olive oil to infuse paprika into for a colorant. You can vary the amount you use to adjust the color from sunshine yellow to brick/rust colored. You can, theoretically, infuse any oil, however, your base oil color will affect your outcome, so choose a light colored oil. Mineral oil, as stated above, will not saponify, so you can't make soap from it.

You can infuse sweet almond, olive, avocado and other oils for using in soap, but don't use mineral oil.
