IGI Paraflex 4786 Container Blend - How to break it down?

Hello,

I recently received an 10 lb order of IGI Paraflex 4786 Container Blend wax which is in 2 slabs. This is my first time using it but I can't figure out how to break it down into chunks that I can melt. I tried using a hammer to break it up but only succeeded in putting dents into the slabs - it didn't even crack. Any suggestions? Thanks so much!

I was finally able to break the slab up into more manageable chunks using my steps, a hammer & a "can cut through anything" knife that I have. Thanks for your feedback
