I made a batch yesterday based on a recipe I have made several times. This batch was far less fluid then previous batches.

A couple of questions:
Should dry ingredients be added to the oils or after the cook? Example: Oats, orange peel powder, clays not used for color etc.

Do you have to wait until full vaseline stage to stop cooking and start adding after cook items? Seems like some of the HP youtube soapers stop cooking before full vaseline stage ... but I could be wrong. After cooking I generally pull the crock and set it on the counter. Then I stir, cover, stir, cover etc. until the temp drops enough to start adding the after cook stuff. If I started the stir, cover process a little earlier would it still continue to saponify while cooling down and be finished before adding other items?

TIA for any helpful hints etc. :)
