hp beer soap?

has anyone made hot process beer soap? i like hp because i am impatient and i dont want to wait for my soaps to cure. i have some guiness and i wanted to know if it would work in hp soap? the beer is already flat, ive had it sitting open on my counter since yesterday

Yes, you can do it. Just like you regularly would with beer instead of water.

I've done 2 HP beer batches. It's still better to let them cure for several weeks; otherwise, they're too soft and dissolve too quickly in the shower.

What about a 50/50 water and beer ratio as the liquid portion? Or is it best to do all beer, for liquid, when making beer soap?

This thread is 10 years old and none of the posters are around anymore. There are many discussions about using beer in soap that are more current. Here are some examples, all from 2020 I believe --

Most people, including me, use 100% beer. I can't think of a good reason why you'd want to dilute it with water, unless you're using a 50% NaOH masterbatch solution. In that case, I simmer a bottle of beer down until the liquid is the correct weight of "water" needed to dilute the 50% masterbatch to the concentration I want to use to make the soap. Other than that, I'd just use all beer.

Thank you! I just made my first beer soap tonight. Ooh la la I'm excited to use it. I make HP soap but I still let my bars cure for 4wks or more. No issues with substituting beer for water portion. I can't wait to see those bubbles!!!
