I am trying to use some pretty soap molds but many of my soaps end up with a lot of white on the bottom of the molds and creep into the whole bar. I don't have a problem when I use my rectangular wooden soap mold that holds 15 bars but when I use the molds that only hold 3 bars, they end up with too much white on the bottom and inside the bar.
I am insulating them very well with 2" insulation board all around them and adding a large comforter to keep it warm.
Any ideas to stop the white??
Thanks.

Try this;
Take a inexpensive Styrofoam cooler like you get at Wal-Mart for $3.00.
Pour your batter in your molds and then after pouring, turn the Styrofoam cooler upside down to act as a cover and insulator for your molds. Place something heavy on top to make sure the edges make good contact and seal to the flat surface you are using. This will help insulate the soap and you might even get gel. Try this and see if it helps.

Paul.... :) :wink:
