How much soap will my wooden soap mold hold?

Thanks Paul.

Your calculation worked fine. It called for 46 oz. and I made the recipe for 51 and had just enough to slop over the top of the mold for scraping off later.

As for my first batch and the 24 hrs. to trace, I put it off to the fact I had no stick blender and had the stuff in a Kitchen Aid blender, bowl suspended and it prob'ly cooled. The KA blender I use to make bread prob'ly didn't amount to much more than stirring with a spoon. As soon as I used a stick blender, WOW! 5 minutes to trace, if that.

I enjoy the fun of experimenting, as you mention. I want to try the babassu oil as an addition to an olive oil base, maybe with some coconut. Never heard of it before.

I'll try your suggestion on colorants. What I'd really like to find is colorants that add something good to the soap besides color.
